Early Beginnings: Education and Discovery Channel

I embarked on my creative voyage at Full Sail University, where I honed my skills and graduated with an Associate of Science in Film. My dedication and talent didn’t go unnoticed; two months before completing my degree, I was scooped up by the Discovery Channel. For five years, I immersed myself in the world of post-production, developing a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of visual storytelling.

Pursuing the Dream: Music and Documentary Filmmaking

But my heart beat to a different rhythm – the pulse of music and the allure of the open road. I seized every vacation opportunity to tour with bands, capturing their live energy on film, then rushing back to my responsibilities at Discovery. This dual life was exhilarating but only a prelude to a bigger leap. In 2011, driven by my dream of becoming a documentary filmmaker and fueled by my passion for music, I left Discovery to join the Vans Warped Tour.

Working with Attack Attack!, I orchestrated a memorable guest appearance with Dee Snider of Twisted Sister at the Bamboozle Music Festival, performing in front of over 20,000 fans. My tour adventures continued across the U.S. with bands like Texas in July, Veil of Maya, Attila, Darkest Hour, and many others. I’ve also collaborated with international artists including Paris Hilton, Raekwon, Body Count, Ice T, Gillie The Kid, Noochie, Joe West, Korn, and Many More.

In 2015 Jason Richardson and Joey filmed 1 a documentary following Jason on his journey into the solo music space. Joey and Jason have since worked on multiple projects together stacking millions of views online.

A New Frontier: Cannabis Industry and ismokeit.net

In 2014, sensing a seismic shift in the cannabis industry, I launched ismokeit.net. My vision was clear – to create a platform that resonated with the cannabis community, akin to the impact of WorldStar HipHop in its niche. The website quickly became a hub for cannabis enthusiasts, and I began hosting landmark parties in the Nation’s capital, eventually automating the site for seamless user experiences.

The Haven: A Marketing Odyssey

My journey took another exciting turn in 2017 when I was approached by a dispensary owner. I embraced the role of Marketing Director at the Haven cannabis dispensary in Brandywine, Maryland. Here, I combine my diverse experiences and skills to innovate in marketing strategies, helping to grow the brand and connect with the community.

From the editing suites of Discovery Channel to the dynamic stages of music festivals, and now at the forefront of the cannabis industry, my path has been anything but conventional. It’s a story of following dreams, embracing change, and constantly seeking new horizons.
